Amanda Bynes being bullied by the Paparazzi earlier today

Fuck that guy for invading her space and basically treating this mentally unstable human being like a sideshow freak. This is disgusting and just one example of how little we as a society give a fuck about mental illness and how little we care about the mentally ill.

Make no mistake about it- Amanda Bynes is a person who, at least just judging by her behavior in the last few months, has a mental illness that is not being treated. She is not being “weird” to “annoy” you, she is not a “crazy bitch”, she’s not an “attention whore”, she isn’t “fucking with” us, she’s not just a “lying dumbass”— her mind is literally deteriorating in front of the world, captured by swarms of cameras causing a ripple effect of distress and personal hell inside her mind that I promise you never even felt a fraction of if you are laughing at this, believe that. If you’ve ever dealt with or are dealing with mental problems, try to wrap your head around dealing with them in front of the world. With the world laughing at you, denying you of your torment. If she wasn’t unstable then, she sure as fuck is now.

But for whatever reason- her gender, her age, her former celebrity, her money- nobody ACCEPTS it. They not only don’t accept it (as if this is something you need written fucking proof of to have compassion for as if your compassion has a limit) but they outright reject it, doubt it, deny her of it and laugh at her. For being unwell. 

People, do our brothers and sisters have to be on the edge of a roof, banging their head against a wall for hours, living in their own shit and talking to their own shadows for you to see them as mentally ill? Are you not aware that mental illness is exactly like physical illness in that it can affect anyone, be severe or very slight, show up in many forms, be genetic, you can be born with it, you can get it when you’re older, it can be curable, it can be incurable, it can change how you act, it can change how you think, it can kill you, it can be grown out of… What that fucking paparazzi is doing to her is like pulling the wig off of someone with cancer in front of everyone and laughing, turning the fact that they have cancer into the joke. Fuck that guy, fuck every single one of you who think this is something to laugh at, and fuck you if you think any of this is over dramatic and stupid because it’s about a celebrity. Everyone else, just remember that this society will never ever present to you what is most important in life or show you how to be a good- or even decent- person. They only want to make a joke out of people who think differently because when those people get the rare shot at being encouraged, educated and respected, their thinking changes the world and disturbs the system. I never want to see a single one of my followers or fans taking part in shaming this girl, because it is not fucking harmless. You can’t make a good joke about something awful if it is still actually widely considered A JOKE in society.
